CUET VC Urges CSE Graduates to Pursue Success Through Hard Work and Humility

Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem has urged students to perform their professional responsibilities with full dedication, patience and hard work, regardless of the field they choose. He said success in life can be achieved through hard work and humility.

He made the remarks as the chief guest at a farewell programme for the 20th batch of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), held Tuesday (August 11) at the CSE Department’s Operating System Lab at CUET.

The CUET Vice-Chancellor said students should work with a cheerful and positive mindset, maintain good communication and develop the habit of completing tasks within the stipulated time. Addressing the students, he said the bigger the dream, the greater the success. He added that there is no fixed value for talent.

He said he wanted to see every CUET graduate become equivalent to a major institution in the future. He also stressed the need to carry the values of Bangladesh and transform CUET into a world-class university beyond the country’s borders as quickly as possible.

Highlighting the broad career opportunities available to CSE graduates, the Vice-Chancellor urged them to move forward by making the most of all the opportunities available to them at home and abroad.

Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CUET Professor Dr Kazi Delwar Hossain attended the programme as a special guest.

Among others, CSE Department professors Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Dr Kaushik Deb, Dr Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Dr Md Mokammel Haque, Dr Abu Hasnat Mohammad Ashfaq Habib, Associate Professor Mohammad Kamal Hossain and Associate Professor Dr Md Manjar-ul-Hasan were present.

The programme was chaired by CSE Department Head Professor Dr Pranab Kumar Dhar. Ratnajit Dhar and Adil Raihan, students of the CSE 20th batch, spoke on behalf of the graduating batch.

CSE lecturers Ayesha Banu and Saimum Hossain Sohan conducted the programme.
