Sirajdikhan Bans Mobile Phone Use by Students in All Educational Institutions
The Sirajdikhan Upazila Administration has banned mobile phone use by students in all educational institutions and instructed teachers not to use phones during classroom teaching.
The Sirajdikhan UpazillaAdministration in Munshiganj has banned the use of mobile phones by students in all educational institutions under its jurisdiction. Teachers have also been instructed to refrain from using mobile phones during classroom teaching.
The directive was issued through an official circular sent to the heads of educational institutions. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rumpa Ghosh signed the order on 26 July.
According to the circular, the decision aims to improve students' concentration on academic activities, maintain classroom discipline and create a better learning environment. It also warns that legal action may be taken against those who fail to comply with the directive.
The administration said mobile phone addiction among students has increased significantly, affecting their academic performance and reducing attention during classroom lessons.
The circular further states that restricting mobile phone use in educational institutions is essential to ensure students' academic development and future success. It also notes that teachers' use of mobile phones during classes disrupts teaching and negatively affects students' attention.
Educational institution heads have therefore been instructed to ensure a complete ban on students' mobile phone use and to take necessary measures so that teachers refrain from using mobile phones while conducting classes. //DBTech//
