A new executive committee has been formed for the Tejgaon College Journalists Association (TCSAS). Azizul Islam Juboraj of the Deshpotro newspaper has been appointed as the president, and Jannatun Nessa Bushra of Kal Prokash as the general secretary. This executive committee will serve for the next one year.
The 11-member executive committee includes Vice President Md. Sakibul Hasan (Ekattor TV), Joint General Secretary Md. Niaz Karim Rakib (Sangbad TV), Finance Secretary Md. Rakib Hasan (Ajker Paper), Office Secretary Md. Tuhin Islam Ratul (Daily Proloy), Assistant Office Secretary Tasnim Rahman (NBB), Publicity Secretary Atikul Islam (Daily Note 24), and Executive Members Ehsanul Islam Emon (Joyjatra), Farzana Sultana Samia (Bhorer Janala), and Mehdi Hasan Shrabon (Bayannor Kontho).
The advisory panel of Tejgaon College Journalists Association approved this committee on Wednesday, April 15.
Tejgaon College Journalists Association has been playing an important role in journalism practice, training, and media activities for the students of the college for a long time.
However, following the organizational instability after the mass uprising in July and with members who were 'victims of discrimination' in the previous committee, a three-month convening committee was formed. After the expiry of the term of the said convening committee, this executive committee has been formed on the advice and decision of the advisory panel, according to the members of the advisory panel.
It is hoped that the newly formed executive committee will perform its duties sincerely to make the organization more dynamic and effective.
