The much-discussed psychological thriller web series Chakra 2, directed by Vicky Zahed, has officially started streaming. Starring Tousif Mahbub and Azmeri Haque Badhan, the second season features eight episodes and was released on March 26, Thursday, on the OTT platform iScreen as an Eid-ul-Fitr special. Viewers can watch the series for a fee of 25 taka.

Soon after its release, lead actor Tousif Mahbub shared a poster of the series on his Facebook page with the caption: “Chakra 2 is now streaming on iScreen.” He added a cautionary note: “Not for the faint-hearted.”

As in the first season, Tousif reprises his role as Humayun, while Azmeri Haque Badhan joins the cast as a new addition. Other notable actors include Gazi Rakayet, Nader Chowdhury, Momena Chowdhury, Shahed Ali, Meghla Mukta, Dilruba Doyel, Arefin Jilani, and Marshia Shawon.

The Chakra series is inspired by a real-life incident from 17 years ago in Mymensingh, where nine members of a family died in a mysterious “suicide.” While the first season explored psychological explanations, the mystery remained unresolved. In its chilling finale, family members decide to end their lives, and Lubna informs her teacher Humayun. Instead of offering help, Humayun’s behavior deepens the mystery.

Director Vicky Zahed has said that the second season will pick up exactly where the story left off, delving deeper into the dark history of the Adam family and uncovering the reasons behind their final decision. He promised that the narrative will take an even darker and more intense turn.
