Prime Minister Meets Coast Guard Chief
PM Instructs Coast Guard for Continued Vigilance to Upkeep the Sovereignty
Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, held a courtesy meeting with Riyal Admiral Md. Ziaul Haque, Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard. During the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Coast Guard Director General exchanged greetings.
The courtesy call took place on Tuesday, 3 March, at the Prime Minister’s Office under the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat.
Regarding the meeting, Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Atiqul Rahman, stated that the Prime Minister highly praised the patriotism and professionalism of the Bangladesh Coast Guard and their tireless efforts. He particularly instructed the force to continue its public service activities in maintaining peace and security in coastal and riverine areas and in responding to disasters in the interest of the people.
The head of government emphasized the importance of sustaining the Coast Guard’s public service initiatives aimed at ensuring peace, security, and disaster management in coastal and riverbank regions.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on various development activities undertaken by the Coast Guard. He assured the Director General that the continuity of these development initiatives would be maintained in the future.
