US Embassy Congratulates BNP and Tarique Rahman on Historic Victory

The United States Embassy in Dhaka has congratulated the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its Chairman Tarique Rahman on their historic victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The message was shared through a post on the verified Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka at 7:48 am on Friday, February 13.

In its Facebook post, the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka stated, “Congratulations to the people of Bangladesh for organizing a successful election. Congratulations to BNP and Tarique Rahman on their historic victory.”

The post further added, “The United States looks forward to working with you to advance our shared goals of prosperity and security between our two countries.”

The congratulatory message highlights Washington’s interest in continuing bilateral cooperation following the election outcome.
