New Executive Committee Formed at Bangladesh Agricultural Engineers Society EGM
A newly formed executive committee of the Bangladesh Agricultural Engineers Society has been constituted through an emergency extended general meeting (EGM) held under the supervision of the election committee. The meeting took place on Wednesday, January 28, at the auditorium of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council, where the leaders of the new committee were unanimously nominated.
In the newly constituted committee, Engineer Professor Dr Morshed Alam has been elected as President. Engineer Abul Khayer Md Mazharul Islam has been nominated as Senior Vice-President, while Engineer Imam Mahmud Riyad (Palash) has been elected as Vice-President.
Engineer Mohammad Sarwar Mawla has been elected as General Secretary, with Engineer Md Fazlul Haque nominated as Joint Secretary. Engineer Mohammad Sazzad Hossain has been elected as Treasurer, and Engineer H M Ershadul Haque Masum has been nominated as Joint Treasurer.
Other office bearers include Engineer Md Belal Siddiqui Sajib as Organising and Office Secretary, Engineer Ashraf Sarkar as Publication and Seminar Secretary, and Engineer Nur Mohammad as Social and International Affairs Secretary. The executive members are Engineer Professor Dr M Borhan Uddin, Engineer Shahadat Hossain Biplob, Engineer Md Ayubur Rahman, Engineer Dr ABM Zahid Hossain, Engineer Dr Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman, Engineer Dr Khan Faisal Ahmed, Engineer Muhammad Kamruzzaman Bidyut, Engineer Mashrura Mallik Swarna, Engineer Sarwar Hossain, Engineer Mohammad Shah Jalal, Engineer Md Abu Saeed, Engineer Dr Md Abdul Mottalib Shobhan, and Engineer Kazi Md Khorshed Alam.
The election process was conducted by Chief Election Commissioner Engineer Golam Mawla, with Engineer Professor Dr Mohammad Ashiq-e-Rabbani and Engineer Mukhlesuzzaman Talukdar serving as members of the election commission.
The newly elected leaders expressed optimism that the committee will play an effective role in advancing the agricultural engineering profession in Bangladesh, promoting research, fostering technological innovation, and contributing to the sustainable development of the country’s agricultural sector.
