TRNB Donates Tk 2 Lakh to DRU for Families of Deceased Members

Telecom and Technology Reporters Network Bangladesh (TRNB) has donated Tk 2 lakh to the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU). This year, five members of the DRU have passed away, and the TRNB leadership extended this financial support to assist in providing aid to their families.

On Friday, 21 November, TRNB leaders handed over the cheque to DRU officials at the DRU office.

Present during the handover were DRU President Abu Saleh Akon, General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel, Finance Secretary Sakhawat Hossain Sumon, TRNB President Samir Kumar Dey, General Secretary Masuduzzaman Robin, Finance Secretary Faruk Hossain, Organizational Secretary Al Amin Dewan, DRU Women Affairs Secretary Rozina Rozy, Publicity and Publication Secretary Mizan Chowdhury, Executive Members Junaed Shishir and Aminul Haque Bhuiya, along with other DRU members.

Expressing gratitude to TRNB for extending support, DRU General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel said, “Dhaka Reporters Unity is the largest organization of the country’s professional journalists. DRU always stands by journalists. We hope that TRNB will continue to support DRU in the future as well.”

TRNB President Samir Kumar Dey stated that DRU consistently undertakes various welfare activities for journalists, including financial assistance to families of deceased members and educational scholarships.

TRNB General Secretary Masuduzzaman Robin said that providing financial support to the families of deceased members is a noble initiative by DRU. He added that TRNB would continue to stand by DRU in the coming days.
