Banglalink Announces 21GB Offer for International Mother Language Day
Marking International Mother Language Day, the country’s leading digital operator Banglalink has announced a symbolic 21GB bonus data offer. In remembrance of the significance of Amar Ekushey February, the special campaign will run from February 20 to 23.
Under the offer, customers who purchase the 30GB data pack priced at Tk 598 will receive an additional 21GB bonus. As a result, the total data volume will be 51GB with a validity of 30 days. Both prepaid and B2C postpaid customers will be able to enjoy this benefit. The pack can be purchased not only through the MyBL app but also via mobile financial service platforms such as bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay.
The company stated that the symbolic 21GB bonus is being offered as a tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Language Movement. Although International Mother Language Day is now observed worldwide, its origin lies in Bangladesh’s historic Language Movement.
Commenting on the initiative, Banglalink’s Chief Marketing Officer Kazi Mahbub Hasan said the objective is to connect the spirit of national identity and language with digital engagement. In his words, language is not merely a means of communication, but the foundation of history, culture, and unity. Through this symbolic initiative, the company aims to honor the spirit of February 21 and encourage meaningful digital participation.
It is noteworthy that Banglalink is a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed global operator VEON Ltd. and is expanding various digital services in the country under its “Digital for All” vision.
