Gazipur Digital University Gears Up with Democratic Robotics Club Committee
For the first time, Gazipur Digital University (GDU) students have democratically elected the committee of the Gazipur Digital University Robotics Club.
The election was held on Sunday, August 31, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on the university campus, where students enthusiastically cast their votes for their preferred candidates.
Through this democratic process, Md. Mursalin Hossain Mishat and Md. Jonaid Hossain were elected as President and General Secretary of the Robotics Club respectively, while Wasif Ayan Nafiz was elected as Treasurer.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Election Commissioner Saurav Chandra Das, Lecturer in the Department of IoT and Robotics Engineering.
Serving as the Advisor of the club, Md. Ashikuchsalehin, Lecturer in the Department of IoT and Robotics Engineering, expressed his delight at the successful process. He said, “I am delighted that such a beautiful and democratic election has been held with the spontaneous participation of students. This club will be a major platform for students to acquire technological skills beyond the classroom. I believe that through this club, our students will be able to prepare themselves for the future and play a vital role in building a technology-driven Bangladesh.”
Following the election, the newly elected leaders of the Robotics Club shared their commitment: “We are determined to build a completely apolitical, technology-focused, and student-friendly club. Our goal is to work for the promotion of modern technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence among the students of the university. By organizing regular workshops, seminars, and competitions, we want to enhance practical knowledge among students and bring recognition to the university at both national and international levels.”
