Dutch-Bangla Bank to Suspend Services for System Upgrade
Dutch-Bangla Bank will suspend all its operations from January 1 to January 5 for the upgrading of its core banking software. During this five-day period, the bank's ATMs, debit card services, internet banking, mobile banking (MyCash), and agent banking services will be unavailable. However, credit cardholders will still be able to withdraw money or make purchases using ATMs from other banks.
The suspension of services is required to complete the core banking software upgrade. The Bangladesh Bank’s Department of Off-Site Supervision granted approval for this closure following the bank's request. According to the central bank's directive, the approval is in line with the Bank Companies Act, 1991, Section 45.
