BDSAF-Cyber ​​Security symposium held at BRAC Inn

A day-long Cyber ​​Security Symposium held organized by Bangladesh System Administrators Forum (BDSAF) under the motto "Building a Safer Bangladesh through Cyber ​​Resilience" at the BRAC Inn Auditorium of Mohakhali in the capital. Information and Technology Secretary Md. Shamsul Arefin inaugurated the symposium on Saturday morning with the participation of more than a hundred IT engineers. 

While speaking as the chief guest, the secretary highlighted the dependence of information technology as the basic foundation of Smart Bangladesh. At the same time, Shamsul Arefin called on the present engineers to build an awareness and safe cyber express by mentioning the fact that the use of internet and technology has increased in the country. Besides appreciating the activities of BDSAF; the secretary highlighted the possibility of working together with the ICT Division and BDSAF.

In the opening ceremony, the BDSAF President Md. Jobair Al Mahmud Hossain said, if this organization of more than five thousand members get enough support, it will bring down the foreign dependence to zero in the development of various emerging technologies of the country, including cloud. He also said that BDSAF will continue to work on increasing the cyber security skills of IT professionals in keeping with the demand.

BDSAF advisor and entrepreneur Shaerul Haque Joardar Neel delivered a guiding speech for the information technologists by presenting the keynote at the symposium.

He said, cyber security cannot be viewed only as an IT activity. An integrated strategy for cyber security needs to be developed from a holistic perspective. 

Saif Rahman, COO of the country's first public-private partnership cloud "Meghna Cloud", highlighted the issue of public and private cooperation in cloud technology and cyber security in the program moderated by BDSAF General Secretary Mohibbul Moqtadir Tanim.

According to the organizers, the symposium was organized with ten technical sessions and one panel discussion. The technical session which started in the morning discussed cyber security concepts and their technical applications in various fields of information technology including emerging technologies, cloud computing, communication media. Apart from this, there is a detailed discussion on various tools and methods used in cyber security.

In all these technical sessions, the leading technicians of the country's leading mobile phone service providers, software firms and IT service providers took part. Besides, top policymakers from technology service companies, mobile phone service providers, banks and audit firms attended the panel decision organized at the event.
