Phoenix Summit Focuses on Cyber Resilience

Bangladesh has launched Phoenix Summit 2026, one of the country’s largest cybersecurity convergence platforms, with a focus on strengthening national cyber capability and digital resilience.

Organised under the theme “Closing the Cyber Gap in Emerging Economies,” the five-day summit brings together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, cybersecurity experts, students and international participants.

The main conference session was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka. Organisers expect participation to exceed 10,000 people across workshops, discussions and technical activities.

The summit is organised by The Team Phoenix Group with support from BRAC Bank PLC and ecosystem partners.

Speaking at the opening session, Yaser Khan Chowdhury said initiatives of this scale can help accelerate collaboration across technology, policy and cybersecurity development.

Panel discussions focused on cybersecurity readiness, digital resilience, protection of critical infrastructure, emerging technologies and global cyber risk management.

According to organisers, the summit also emphasises practical capability building through technical workshops and industry knowledge exchange.

Earlier sessions included hands-on training in cyber investigation, DevSecOps, application security, vulnerability management and ransomware defence practices.

Industry representatives noted that building a resilient digital ecosystem requires coordinated efforts among government institutions, academia, businesses and cybersecurity professionals.

Organisers expect the summit to contribute to long-term capacity development and help strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
