bKash Broadens Bill Payment Benefits with Merchant Point Integration
Customers can now pay their electricity bills not only through the bKash app and agent points, but also at over 250,000 bKash merchant points spread across the country. This latest move significantly enhances the convenience and reach of bKash’s utility payment services, making electricity bill payments even easier and more seamless.
Currently, customers can pay nearly all government utility bills through the "Pay Bill" icon in the bKash app. In addition to that, the existing 350,000+ agent points across Bangladesh continue to offer bill payment services for electricity and other utilities. The inclusion of 250,000 merchant points now provides an added layer of accessibility, enabling customers to enjoy greater comfort and flexibility in managing their utility payments.
Merchants, on the other hand, now have the opportunity to encourage more cashless transactions by offering bill payment services alongside their regular sale of goods and services through bKash.
It is worth noting that bKash is the largest platform for paying various types of utility bills, including electricity, water, gas, telephone, land services, passport fees, as well as internet and TV subscriptions. The list of billers is continuously expanding as more organizations integrate into the platform. Customers also have the option to download and store environment-friendly digital receipts after making a payment.
