Vice-Chancellor urges researchers to maintain academic integrity while utilizing AI tools
JUST Hosts Workshop on Writing and Publishing High-Impact Research Papers
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of JUST organized a training workshop for faculty members to enhance skills in publishing research in international journals.
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized a training workshop titled "Writing and Publishing High-Impact Research Papers" for faculty members. Held on Tuesday (June 23) at the university's National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Academic Building, the session aimed to improve the skills of university teachers in publishing research articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Professor Dr. Imran Khan, Vice-Chancellor (Routine Duties) of JUST, attended the event as the chief guest.
In his address, he noted that while artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital tools have opened new frontiers in scientific studies, researchers must strictly maintain academic integrity and ethical standards. He specifically advised young researchers to carefully follow journal policies regarding AI disclosures.
Professor Dr. Kazi Matin Uddin Ahmed from the Department of Geology at Dhaka University presented the keynote paper during the workshop. The event was chaired by Dr. K. M. Anis-ul-Haque, Director (Current Charge) of IQAC, JUST. Speakers emphasized the responsibility of faculty members to preserve the quality of institutional research. Deans of various faculties, department heads, senior teachers, and researchers participated in the interactive sessions.
