BIJF Hosts Iftar and Prayer Gathering for Members and ICT Stakeholders
The Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF), the country’s first statutory professional organization in the information and communication technology sector, organized an iftar and prayer gathering in honor of its members, with the participation of well-wishers from across the sector. Held in the spirit of Ramadan and at the beginning of the political government’s new journey, the iftar event turned into a gathering of industry stakeholders. Beyond exchanging greetings, discussions centered on overcoming the sector’s challenges and embracing emerging opportunities under the new government.
The pre-iftar prayer session took place on Saturday evening, March 7, at Lakeshore Heights in Gulshan, Dhaka. Prayers were offered for the well-being of all members of the organization and their family members. Participants also sought blessings for the continued progress and prosperity of the organization during the concluding supplication.
Earlier, the program was conducted by BIJF General Secretary Sabbin Hasan under the chairmanship of BIJF President Hitler A. Halim. Vice President Bhuiyan Enam Lenin delivered the welcome address.
The event was attended by business leaders and representatives from the ICT and telecom sectors, along with enthusiastic participation from representatives of various public relations firms associated with the industry. Among those present at the iftar and prayer gathering were Aminul Hakim, President of ISPAB; Saiful Islam Siddiq, Senior Vice President; Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan, General Secretary; and Imdadul Haque, former President of ISPAB. Also in attendance were Syed Almas Kabir, former President of BASIS; Faisal Alim, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO); Md. Rowshan Kamal James, General Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi ICT Forum; Moinul Haque Siddiqui, Chairman of Fiber@Home; and Biplob G. Rahul, Founder of eCourier, among others.
