Walton Remembers Mahabub Alam Mridul on Fifth Death Anniversary
Mahabub Alam Mridul, Director of Walton Group and a promising young entrepreneur, passed away on 21 January 2021 at the age of just 24. On the occasion of his fifth death anniversary, prayer programmes have been organised across the country in his memory.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries said that family members and well-wishers have arranged grave visitation, complete recitation of the Holy Quran, doa mahfil and discussion programmes in remembrance of Mahabub Alam Mridul.
Special doa mahfils and prayers seeking eternal peace for the departed soul have been organised at his ancestral home in Tangail, at Walton Headquarters in Gazipur, the Walton Corporate Office in the capital, the Walton Complex in Mirpur, as well as at Walton plazas and distributor showrooms across the country.
According to Walton authorities, Mahabub Alam Mridul had a deep interest in innovation in the electronics and technology sectors. He was particularly keen on working extensively in the country’s automobile industry. Soft-spoken and friendly by nature, he was widely respected and loved by members of the Walton family. His untimely demise is considered an irreparable loss not only for Walton but also for the country’s electronics and hi-tech industries. Through his short yet remarkably productive professional life, Mahabub Alam Mridul will continue to live on in people’s memories for generations.
Mahabub Alam Mridul was born on 25 January 1997 in Gosai Joair village of Tangail Sadar Upazila into a respected Muslim business family. His father, S M Shamshul Alam, is the Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. After joining Walton Group as a director on 1 September 2019, Mahabub Alam Mridul left a clear mark of his talent within a very short period of time. He passed away on 21 January 2021 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital due to cardiac arrest.
