Qatar Arranges Air Ambulance from Germany for Khaleda Zia
Despite being unable to send its own air ambulance due to “technical complications,” the Government of Qatar is dispatching another air ambulance—this one chartered from Germany—to Dhaka. BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to be flown to London for treatment on Sunday, December 7, via this aircraft, according to sources.
Asadur Rahman Asad, Public Relations Officer of the Embassy of Qatar in Dhaka, confirmed that the air ambulance, arranged by the Qatari government, is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
According to sources, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will travel to London aboard the air ambulance sent as a special arrangement by the Amir of Qatar. Owing to technical issues with Qatar’s own aircraft, the government opted for this alternative arrangement.
