President Md. Sahabuddin’s personal verified Facebook account was briefly hacked and out of his control for a few minutes, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred on the evening of November 2, when a post from the President’s account revealed that it had been compromised.

The matter was also confirmed by Bangabhaban. Later, the President’s private secretary, Md. Sagar Hossain, stated that the account was swiftly recovered after coordination with BTRC and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

At the time of reporting, the President’s personal verified ID had not been made public.

Earlier, the account initially posted a hashtag “resignation” message. Since the account was set to “friends only,” only friends on the list could see the mysterious post. Subsequently, a message was posted stating, “My Facebook ID has been hacked for everyone’s awareness.”

Md. Sagar Hossain requested the public not to be confused by the incident and confirmed the hacking.
