At an event organized by Light of Hope Ventures, five new entrepreneurs presented their business ideas before more than a hundred investors on Saturday, 29 November, at the Interactive Learning Centre in Dhanmondi.

The participating startups were Bangladesh Supply Chain Solutions (BSCS), Tailo, Green Grocery, Protein Market, and ICE. Alongside presenting their ideas, they responded to various investor queries and discussed their business expansion plans in detail.

Speaking to journalists, Waliullah Bhuiyan, Founder of Light of Hope Ventures, said, “For the first time, the turnout at such an event exceeded our expectations. This clearly shows that individual investors are now actively looking for new opportunities.”

He added, “Our aim is to build a platform where entrepreneurs can share ideas, collaborate, and achieve tangible results.”

Light of Hope Ventures is now being regarded as the “Y Combinator for Bangladeshi SMEs,” offering mentorship, investment, and market access opportunities to startups in the agriculture, education, manufacturing, service, and technology sectors. The community currently includes more than 1,000 startup and SME entrepreneurs across eight sectors.

Notably, Light of Hope Ventures will continue hosting such pitch sessions on the last Saturday of every month, with five to seven startups taking part in each event.
