Robi Receives FICCI Sustainability and Innovation Award 2025
The publicly listed mobile operator Robi Axiata has received the Sustainability and Innovation Award 2025 from the Foreign Investors’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for its remarkable contribution to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) through its maternity support program “Bloom.”
On Thursday, November 13, the operator announced that the award was conferred at a recent ceremony organized by FICCI in Dhaka. Robi’s Chief People Officer, Muhammad Shoaib Baig, accepted the “Excellence in DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)” award from the Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Md. Abdur Rahman Khan.
The award presentation ceremony was attended by FICCI Vice President Yasir Azman, Board Member Manabu Sugawara, Executive Director T.I.M. Nurul Kabir, and Robi’s General Manager of Strategic Communications, Niaz Mohammad Siddiqi, among other distinguished guests.
Robi launched its maternity support initiative “Bloom” on October 1, 2024, redefining the concept of maternity assistance in the country’s corporate sector. The program aims to ensure that working mothers can experience a smoother, more secure, and supportive maternity period without hindering their professional growth.
Through the Bloom initiative, Robi has built an integrated framework combining compassion, continuity of work, and career advancement—transcending traditional approaches. The program stands as a reflection of Robi’s firm commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). It envisions maternity not as an obstacle to professional advancement but as a supportive and empowering experience.
