Social Business Summit Set to Spotlight Sustainable Healthcare Solutions

The 15th Social Business Day will take place on June 27–28 at the Social Convention Centre in Zirabo, Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka. Jointly organized by Yunus Centre and Grameen Group, the event has opened online registration for interested participants via the Social Business Pedia event page.

This year’s summit will be held under the theme “Social Business: The Most Effective Way to Ensure Health Services for All.” The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Patron Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

On June 15, Tuesday, Yunus Centre announced that over 1,000 participants, including more than 180 international delegates from 25 countries, are expected to attend. The event will be chaired by Assistant Professor Md. Saidur Rahman, Chief Advisor for Health and Family Welfare.

Notable attendees will include Omar Ishrak, former CEO and Chairman of Medtronic and former Chairman of the Board at Intel Corporation; Dr. Ismail Serageldin, former Vice-President of the World Bank (1992–2000); and Erik Solheim, former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme and Norway’s former Minister of Environment and Climate.

The two-day program will feature five plenary sessions and eight breakout sessions, each highlighting diverse perspectives and ideas.

As part of the extended program, a special Academia Dialogue will be held on June 29 in collaboration with North South University. This session will explore the role of social business in driving social progress, involving teachers, students, and researchers. The event will conclude with the Three-Zero Club Convention, focusing on achieving zero carbon emissions, zero wealth concentration, and zero unemployment.
