New Executive Committee Formed for DU Institute of Modern Languages Alumni Association

The Institute of Modern Languages Alumni Association of the University of Dhaka has formed a new executive committee. Professor Dr. Mohammad Ansarul Alam has been re-elected as President, while Associate Professor Bipul Chandra Debnath has been elected as General Secretary.

The 15-member committee includes Professor Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain as Vice President, Fazilatun Nessa as Treasurer, Khaled Mohammad Faisal Abdullah as Joint Secretary, Aminul Islam as Organizational Secretary, Tarekur Rahman as Office Secretary, Abu Nayeem as Publication Secretary, and Anjoy Ranjan Das as Cultural Secretary. Executive members include Sajal Ahmed, Ayan Basak, and Mayuri Rani Dey.

The association’s fourth annual general meeting was held on January 3, during which the new executive committee was formed for a two-year term (2025–2026). The committee aims to create a robust network among current and former students residing in various parts of the world and to organize educational activities focusing on diverse languages and cultures.
