ASOCIO Digital AI Summit Begins In Jakarta

Spearheading global discourse on cross-border data governance, cloud sovereignty, and enterprise AI transformation, the ‘ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026’ has commenced in Jakarta, Indonesia. Hosted by the Indonesian ICT Business Association (APTIKNAS) at the Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue, the premier international symposium is scheduled from October 5 to 7.

According to organizational sources, the summit is organized under the theme ‘Accelerating Digital Transformation to Build a Secure, Resilient, and Interconnected Digital Economy’. A 14-member delegation representing Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) is actively taking part, headed by BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam.

The national delegation includes BCS Vice-President Md. Wahidul Hasan Dipu, Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam, Joint Secretary General Md. Ahsanul Islam Nawshad, Treasurer Abul Hasan, Directors Md. Nazrul Islam Hazary and Md. Iqbal Hossain, alongside ASOCIO Permanent Honorary Chairman and BCS founding member Abdullah H. Kafi.

The opening day on Monday, October 5, 2026, convened the arrival of international delegates, the high-level ASOCIO Board Meeting, the General Assembly, and a welcome banquet attended by industry stakeholders and tech policymakers across the Asia-Pacific region. BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam and Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam represented Bangladesh at the closed-door ASOCIO Board deliberations.

Organizers confirmed that Tuesday, October 6, will mark the formal opening of the Digital Summit and the first phase of the AI Exhibition. Deliberations will span critical panels including ‘Boardroom Digital Strategy: Where CEOs and CIOs Should Place Their Bets’, ‘Digital Finance, Identity and Cross-Border Trust’, and ‘Digital Infrastructure and Cloud Sovereignty’, alongside sessions on transitioning from baseline digitization to trusted enterprise AI. The evening will host the prestigious ‘ASOCIO Awards 2026’ and ‘ASOCIO Digital AI Awards 2026’.

The summit concludes on Wednesday, October 7, with the ‘ASOCIO AI Summit’. Sessions titled ‘From Foundation Models to AI Nations’ and ‘From AI Experiments to AI Factories’ will unpack AI ethics, computational workforce exchange, and cross-border tech investments. Gathering delegates across 24 regional economies, the conference reinforces technology partnerships and enterprise innovation across the Asia-Oceania corridor.
