The incident occurred on Friday (October 2) afternoon in the Silam Chokerbazar area under South Surma upazila. The deceased was identified as Russel Ahmad (23), son of Sharuk Mia of the locality.
According to local sources, an underlying dispute had persisted between the Shah and Sheikh clans of Silam Chokerbazar.
