DSF Elects Mohiminul IT Secretary

Advancing media modernization and tech-driven reporting networks across urban newsrooms, the traditional professional body of the capital's journalists, Dhaka Sangbadik Forum (DSF), has formed its new leadership for the 2026–2028 term. In the newly constituted executive body, Mohiminul Khan, staff reporter of satellite news channel News 24, was elected Information Technology (IT) Affairs Secretary.
Capital Television Executive Director Rashed Ali was elected President, while Dainik Kalbela Special Representative Md. Humayun Kabir was chosen as General Secretary.
The 21-member full executive committee was established for a two-year tenure during the biennial general meeting held on Friday (October 2) at the Dhaka Club. Renowned poet, juvenile writer, and Director (Club & Welfare) of Dainik Agamir Shomoy, Saiduzzaman Raushan (Dontyo Raushan), formally announced the election results.
Other key office bearers include Zahid Rahman of NTV as Senior Vice President and A K M Kamruzzaman (Hiru) of Dainik Sangram as Vice President.
Additionally, Rashim Molla of Manabzamin was elected Senior Joint General Secretary, Masud Rana as Joint General Secretary, Maksuda Lisa of Pressenza International Press Agency as Finance Secretary, Md. Rashed Nizam of The Business Standard as Organizing Secretary, Afsana Jahan Nila of Ekushey Television as Office Secretary, Md. Mahmudur Rashid of Saaf Kotha as Publicity and Publication Secretary, Yasir Arafat (Kushal) of NTV as Sports and Cultural Secretary, Md. Abul Kashem of Ajker Dainik as Training and Research Secretary, Mithun Sarkar of Channel S as Law and Welfare Secretary, and Syeda Rimi Kabita of The Business File as Women Affairs Secretary.
The newly elected executive committee members are Mohammad Nasir Uddin (Liton) of BSS, Shahriar Zaman Dip of Ekhon TV, Delwar Hossain Badal of Banglanews24.com, Md. Khorshed Alam Jewel of Agri News 24.com, Humaira Mahmuda Faruqi of DBC Television, and Anwar Hossain Pintu of Dainik Manabzamin.
The general assembly also unanimously ratified several strategic amendments to the DSF constitution. News 24 Television Chief Reporter Dipan Dewan attended the assembly, urging the organization to play an active, evidence-led role in highlighting the capital's historical heritage and promoting a livable, sustainable Dhaka, institutional sources confirmed.
