JUST hosted a panel discussion focusing on accreditation processes and international educational standard enhancement. On Tuesday (18 August), the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized the event titled “Quality Assurance and Accreditation: Knowledge Sharing and Panel Discussion” at the university administrative building conference room.
Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Md. Shah Emran, Full-time Member of Bangladesh Accreditation Council, stated, "The Bangladesh Accreditation Council operates as an autonomous government body ensuring quality control and certification for higher education institutions. Our core responsibilities involve creating discipline-specific accreditation committees and establishing international networks. We evaluate academic programs across Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to award accreditation, while conducting seminars, workshops, and training to align education with global standards. We are always ready to assist you, and our doors remain open for collaboration."
Chairperson of the program and JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Earul Kabir said, "Accreditation is indispensable for raising Bangladesh's education standards to an international level. It ensures proper recognition for our students abroad while attracting international students to accredited departments. Achieving accreditation is vital for improving national education framework and securing global university rankings. I urge everyone to actively work toward this goal."
Special Guest Treasurer Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faruque Hossain stated, "Everyone must collaborate to guarantee international quality in higher education. The accreditation framework is essential for advancing academic research against established benchmarks."
IQAC Director Prof. Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam also delivered speeches at the event. Departmental chairs shared strategic views regarding quality improvement and accreditation acquisition.
