Tech-Driven Information Complexes to Empower Citizens
- Modern 7-story information complexes under construction in divisions
To drive digital transformation in public service delivery, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is establishing modern, technology-driven Information Complexes across all divisions to deliver smart and globally benchmarked services
Information and Broadcasting Minister Zohir Uddin Swapon inaugurated the construction of a modern seven-story divisional Information Complex in Ichakathhi Kashipur, Barishal on Sunday, 16,August. The Minister announced that similar high-tech complexes are being expanded across all districts, with construction already underway in 26 districts, and will gradually reach the upazila levels to bridge the digital divide
Highlighting the tech-first vision, Minister Zohir Uddin Swapon stated, “Just as the true value of a smartphone or computer lies in its daily utility, the success of these complexes relies on delivering effective, high-tech information services directly to the people
The Minister added that beyond digital public services, these complexes will integrate advanced 3D and 4D cinema projection facilities to deliver modern audio-visual entertainment to grassroots communities
Chaired by Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farjana, the ceremony was attended by Additional Secretary Md. Shah Alam, Barishal Divisional Commissioner Khalil Ahmed, Director General of Mass Communication Department Md. Abdul Jalil, City Corporation Administrator Advocate Bilkis Akhtar Jahan Shirin, Range DIG Zulfiqar Ali Haider, and Police Commissioner Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh as special guests
