RoboFusion 1.0 Crowns Robotics Champions

The first national robotics festival ‘RoboFusion 1.0’ at the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB) concluded with young innovators showcasing their skills in robotics, artificial intelligence and technology-driven innovation.

Organized by the UFTB Robotics Club, the day-long festival was held on August 8 at the second building of Kaliakair Hi-Tech Park in Gazipur. More than 550 students and young innovators from 166 registered teams participated in the event.

The festival featured five competition segments: Line Following Robot, Robo Soccer, Techathon, Project Showcase and Boat Racing. A total of 33 teams competed in Line Following Robot, 20 in Robo Soccer, 35 in Techathon, 65 in Project Showcase and 13 in Boat Racing.

Abhoya wins Project Showcase

In Project Showcase, Abhoya (Team No. 10) became champion with 82.83 points. Team members were Waliur Rahman, Shuvo Kumar Acharjo and Punam Pal.

Team Alpha (Team No. 59) finished first runner-up with 79 points, with Md. Tahsan Islam, Mufreid Johanee and Shadiya Zaman Tanha.

Purion (Team No. 45) secured second runner-up with 78.33 points. Its members were Md. Abu Musab, Anik Kader and Md. Rifat Hossain Sajid.

HUNTRIX takes Techathon title

HUNTRIX won the Techathon with 154 points. The team comprised Towhidul Alam Sayem.

KUET-PorotaDalVaji became first runner-up with 92 points, represented by Rezuan Mustafa Hasan, Farhan Tahmid and Tasmin Hossain Zihad.

Threatless secured second runner-up with 89 points. Its members were Sayeed Joy, Tanvir Ahmed and Ferdous Hasan Rahid.

EF-40320 wins Open Class boat race

In the Open Class Boat Racing, EF-40320 emerged champion. The listed team members were Ismail Hossain, Arifin Akter and Anajat Islam Abir.

In the Mono Class, Smokey ESC won the championship. Team members were Md. Yeasin, Taohid and Ahad.

Deshi-Bots wins Line Following Robot

In the Line Following Robot (LFR) segment, Deshi-Bots became champion, led by Arafat Islam Mahim.

JU_Innovators, led by Md. Nafees Zaman, finished first runner-up, while Bahmud, led by Md. Ahsan Habib Siam, secured second runner-up.

Hyper Voltage wins Robo Soccer

In Robo Soccer, Hyper Voltage won the championship. TH DANGER BOT V.3 became first runner-up, while IUBPC Meaw UWU finished second runner-up.

The festival was designed as a national platform to connect young people with robotics, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Alongside the competitions, practical sessions were also arranged to strengthen participants’ technical knowledge and skills.

Earlier, organizers said the festival, themed “Innovate, Create, Automate,” aimed to develop young people’s innovative capabilities and encourage them to build technology-based solutions to real-world problems.

At the closing ceremony, outgoing UFTB Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf handed over prizes to the winners.

On the evening of August 8th, during the festival's closing ceremony sponsored by Walton, UFTB's outgoing Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf presented awards to the winners. The event, presided over by university lecturer Md. Ashikussalehin, was also attended by the university's Registrar Ataur Rahman Khan, Modern Biotech Managing Director Dr. Md. Bakhtiar, and KPJ Special Hospital's Marketing Head Md. Sajib.

Mohammad Morsalin Hossain Mishad, President of the UFTB Robotics Club, delivered a welcoming speech.

The organizers hope that national-level competitions such as RoboFusion 1.0 will expand hands-on opportunities for young innovators and help strengthen Bangladesh’s future capabilities in robotics and artificial intelligence.
