3 August, Monday: Space Innovation Camp successfully organized the 'Future Astronauts Meet-Up' to foster curiosity, creative thinking, and passion for space science among children. The event took place on August 2 at Rise Up Labs in Uttara, Dhaka, featuring space enthusiasts aged between 6 and 14 years.
During the program, each child delivered a 5-minute presentation covering subjects such as the solar system, stars, planets, rocket technology, astronaut lifestyle, International Space Station (ISS), satellites, black holes, and asteroids. Using self-made models, posters, and visual tools, participants articulated their ideas on future lunar and Mars missions alongside space habitat possibilities.
Following the individual presentations, a lively Q&A session allowed participants to interact with experts, educators, and guardians. The event emphasized inspiring interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education to encourage the next generation of space scientists and engineers.
Organizers from Space Innovation Camp highlighted that the 'Future Astronauts Meet-Up' goes beyond standard presentation forums, serving as an incubator for analytical thinking, confidence, and research-mindedness. The initiative plans to expand similar science and space education workshops across various parts of the country in the future.
