While smartphone buyers historically prioritized processors, cameras, or displays, modern consumers increasingly demand durability and protection against water and dust. Addressing this shift, tech brand Vivo has introduced its latest smartphone, the Vivo Y500, built with high-grade Ingress Protection (IP) ratings.

The device boasts dual IP68 and IP69 certifications. While the IP68 rating ensures protection against continuous immersion in water, the IP69 rating protects the device against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The Vivo Y500 can remain operational underwater up to 1.5 meters for 2 hours, and at a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes. It also integrates a 'Water Ejection' feature to push out residual liquid and 'Wet Hand Touch' technology, enabling seamless operation even with wet fingers.

A major highlight for photography enthusiasts is the IP69 Underwater Photography mode, allowing users to capture photos and videos directly beneath swimming pools, waterfalls, or heavy rain. Additionally, the phone features 'Multi-Liquid Protection' against accidental spills like tea, coffee, or soft drinks, alongside an 'Anti-Drop Armor Design' that cushions the impact from accidental drops.

Powering the device is a massive 8,100 mAh BlueVolt battery supporting bypass charging and reverse charging capabilities. The phone sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for gaming and multimedia consumption.

Running on OriginOS 6, the smartphone features a stylish 'Nebula Window' camera module that adds a distinct aesthetic appeal. The Vivo Y500 is available in two elegant.
