EEE Day Celebrated at JUST with Festivities and Discussions

The Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Day was celebrated at Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) through a series of programmes, including a colourful procession, pigeon release, cake cutting, and a discussion session.

The day-long celebration was organised on the morning of Sunday, February 8, by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in front of the Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Academic Building of the university.
JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid attended the programme as the chief guest.

Speaking at the EEE Day programme, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid said that the EEE department of JUST is a well-established and promising department.
“At present, our country is still largely dependent on foreign technologies in this sector. We hope that in the future our students will focus more on research and advance further in technology. They will enrich this sector with homegrown technologies and work for the country and the nation,” he said.

The programme was chaired by Professor Dr. Imran Khan, Chairman of the EEE Department.
Special guest at the event was JUST Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun.

Among others present at the programme were Associate Professors Dr. Mehdi Hasan Jewel and Dr. Md. Majnuzzaman, Lecturers Md. Al-Amin and Md. Tarekuzzaman, Shubho Deb, along with students from different academic years of the EEE department.

The celebration reflected the department’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the advancement of engineering education and research.
