Five organizations under Bangladesh's Financial Institutions Division have been recognised for their outstanding innovation initiatives aimed at improving public services through digital transformation and technology-driven solutions.

The awards were presented on Monday (July 6) at the 'Innovation Showcasing 2025-26' programme held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Finance Division at the Secretariat. Finance and Planning Adviser Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury attended the event as the chief guest and handed over crests to the heads of the winning institutions.

The Financial Institutions Division selected one winner in each of five categories based on the quality of innovative services, digital transformation initiatives and improvements in customer service.

In the State-owned Commercial Bank category, Janata Bank PLC received the award for its 'Janata-Pay (Janata Payment Gateway)', which offers customers a secure and convenient digital payment platform.

In the State-owned Specialised Bank category, Probashi Kallyan Bank was recognised for its 'e-Migration Loan Processing Service (EMLPS)', designed to simplify and accelerate online migration loan applications and processing.

In the Regulatory Authority category, the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) won the award for its 'Insurance Mobile App', which enables users to access insurance-related information and services more easily.

In the Non-Bank Financial Institution category, Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) was honoured for its 'Automation of Document Return Process', making the return of customer documents faster, more transparent and efficient.

Meanwhile, in the Other Institutions category, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) received the award for its 'GIS-Based Supervision and Monitoring System', which enhances project supervision and field-level monitoring through GIS technology.

Speakers at the event said technology-driven innovation is essential for making government services more efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly, while improving service quality and reducing public inconvenience.
