Adiba Sultana Alifa Crowns YUNet SpeakUp Bangladesh Season 2 Champion
The grand finale of the national public speaking competition, "YUNetSpeakUp Bangladesh Season 2," was successfully organized to boost English communication, leadership, and confidence among Bangladeshi youth. Initiated by the Youth Upskill Network (YUNet) in collaboration with the CUB Career & Entrepreneurship Club, Adiba Sultana Alifa from Mohammadpur Preparatory School emerged as the champion.
The grand finale of the national public speaking competition, "Unet SpeakUp Bangladesh Season 2," designed to foster effective English communication, leadership qualities, and confidence among Bangladeshi youth, was successfully hosted. Organized by the Youth Upskill Network (YUNet)—a Bangladesh-based global platform—the event took place at the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) on April 30, 2026. The CUB Career & Entrepreneurship Club supported the national-level initiative as the event partner.
The multi-stage competition progressed through online registration, a specialized online workshop on public speaking, a video-based preliminary round, and concluded with the grand finale in Dhaka. Adiba Sultana Alifa from Mohammadpur Preparatory School clinched the championship title. Meanwhile, Maliha Alam from Rajshahi University was named the first runner-up, and T.M. Waliullah Turjo from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) secured the second runner-up position.
Professor Dr. H.M. Jahirul Haque, Vice-Chancellor of the Canadian University of Bangladesh, graced the occasion as the chief guest and highly praised the initiative for molding youth into confident and skilled future leaders. The panel of judges included event host and trainer Isha Khan; social worker, author, and researcher Adrika Eshna Purbasha; Fariha Basar, Lecturer at CUB School of Business; and Fairana Afsana, Associate at YY Ventures.
Speaking at the event, Muhammad Altamish Nabil, Co-Founder & CEO of YUNet and Event Advisor, highlighted that public speaking is no longer just an optional skill but an essential capability in the modern world. He added, "Through SpeakUp Bangladesh, we aim to build a generation that can confidently articulate their thoughts, inspire change, and represent Bangladesh globally. In the future, we want to expand this platform beyond Bangladesh into various South Asian countries."
Mahir Asef, Co-Founder & COO of YUNetand Event Director, noted that Season 2 was larger, more competitive, and far more impactful than previous editions. Md. Rabiul Islam, Creative Head of YUNetand Founding President of the CUB Career & Entrepreneurship Club, served as the event convener. The combined efforts of volunteers, organizers, partners, and associate organizations ensured the event's grand success. YUNetcontinues to empower youth through skill development, leadership training, and international networking across corporate, entrepreneurial, and social sectors.
