AI Appliance Advance: Walton Launches Smart Washing Machines

Leading domestic electrical and electronics brand Walton has introduced four new models of washing machines in the market, featuring artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The announcement was made in a press release on Tuesday, 12 May.

According to the release, the commercialization of the new washing machines was officially inaugurated at Walton’s corporate office in the capital. The event was attended by Walton Home and Kitchen Appliances Chief Business Officer (CBO) Abdullah Al Junayed and Walton Washing Machine and Home Appliance product ambassador (brand ambassador), actress Jaya Ahsan. Walton Hi-Tech Industries Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed and other senior officials were also present.

Walton stated that the AI-powered washing machines can automatically select wash settings by detecting the type and weight of clothes, ensuring a hassle-free laundry experience for users. In addition, the new models are equipped with inverter and direct drive motors, which ensure energy efficiency, low noise operation, and long-term performance.

It was also noted at the event that these internationally standard washing machines are being manufactured using modern technology at Walton’s factory in Chandra, Gazipur. The facility produces more than 30 models of Walton-branded washing machines, including front-load, top-load automatic, and semi-automatic variants. Commercial washing machines are also manufactured at this plant.

Speaking at the event, Walton Hi-Tech Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed said the new models have been introduced in response to the demands of modern lifestyles and the growing interest in smart home appliances. He added that the innovative technology, enhanced performance, and international standards of these machines will add a new dimension to the domestic market.

Walton Home and Kitchen Appliances CBO Abdullah Al Junayed said the washing machines, built in line with European standards, feature powerful and energy-efficient inverter and BLDC motors. Some models also include washer-dryer technology, enabling both washing and drying within a single machine.

Actress Jaya Ahsan remarked that Walton is delivering these new washing machine models to customers at affordable prices. She also highlighted that Walton’s research and innovation teams are continuously working to incorporate advanced features into their products. As a result, the popularity of Walton washing machines in the local market is increasing significantly.
