Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has signed separate agreements with three leading architectural and engineering consultancy firms to construct what is planned to be the country’s largest iconic office tower at its corporate office premises in Dhaka.
The agreements were signed with Vistaara Architects Private Limited, Abode of Consultant’s (Pvt.) Limited, and BN Engineering. These firms will provide consultancy support in architectural design, structural planning, engineering solutions, and related services for the proposed tower.
The signing ceremony took place at the Walton Corporate Office on 3 May, Sunday.
Walton Hi-Tech Chief Financial Officer and Additional Managing Director Md. Ziaul Alam, Abode of Consultant’s Chairman and Managing Director Professor Dr. M. Shamim Z. Bosunia, Vistaara Architects Managing Director Mustapha Khalid Palash, and BN Engineering CEO A.B.M. Abdul Kabir signed the agreements on behalf of their respective organizations.
Walton Chairman S.M. Shamsul Alam, Managing Director S.M. Mahbubul Alam, directors, and senior officials from the consultancy firms were also present.
Walton Managing Director S.M. Mahbubul Alam said a modern office is not only about design but about creating a productive, creative, and comfortable work environment. He added that the project aims to build smart, sustainable, and human-centric workplaces that reflect the future of Bangladesh’s corporate and industrial strength.
He further stated that the iconic tower will represent Walton’s long-term vision of innovation, technological advancement, and global competitiveness, while also showcasing Bangladesh’s industrial capability and sustainable development mindset.
Architect Mustapha Khalid Palash said Walton is a national pride and the initiative comes at a time when the company is expanding across electronics, ICT, and high-tech sectors. He added that the building will feature international-standard architecture, smart space planning, modern digital facilities, eco-friendly materials, and energy-efficient systems.
According to company officials, the Walton Iconic Tower will be built on a 14.3-bigha plot with a total floor area of around 1.8 million square feet. In the first phase, a 13-storey sustainable green office building with about 900,000 square feet of space will be constructed on 7 bighas of land, along with three basement levels.
