Cybersecurity: Bangladesh Police Seek Tech Support From Italy
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir held a courtesy meeting with Italian Ambassador Dr. Antonio Alessandro.
The meeting took place on Wednesday (May 6) at Police Headquarters.
According to Police Headquarters, during the cordial and friendly discussion, the Italian Ambassador expressed interest in enhancing mutual cooperation with Bangladesh Police, particularly in ongoing training programs and in strengthening capacity to address irregular migration, human trafficking, smuggling, and security assistance-related issues.
On the other hand, the IGP sought Italy’s support in enhancing Bangladesh Police’s capacity in cybersecurity and in providing training on various security-related matters. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and expanding bilateral cooperation between the police forces of both countries.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Police were present at the meeting.
