Tech-Driven Trade Talks: Food, Agro & MedTech Expos Open in Dhaka
To strengthen international investment and technology exchange in the country’s food, agriculture, healthcare, and medical tourism sectors, the “9th Food & Agro Bangladesh International Expo 2026” and the “17th Meditex & Health Tourism Expo 2026” are set to begin in the capital on May 7.
The three-day international exhibitions will be held from May 7 to 9 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Kuril, Dhaka, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. The opening ceremony will take place on May 7 at 11:50 am in Hall-4 (Nabratri) of ICCB.
According to the organizers CEMS-Global USA, continuing its 17-year legacy, this year’s event will once again bring together four sector-based exhibitions, showcasing the latest innovations and solutions in food and beverage, agricultural machinery, packaging technology, medical equipment, healthcare services, and health tourism.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries Md. Firoz Uddin; Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Dr. Md. Hazrat Ali; Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Md. Mohsin; Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Mosammat Nargis Murshida; Director General of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Gazi A.K.M Fazlul Haque; and President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Syed Ershad Ahmed.
The event will be chaired by) Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global (USA & Asia Pacific).
According to the organizers, more than 100 companies from over 15 countries—including Bangladesh, India, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Vietnam, Brazil, Thailand, Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates—are participating in this year’s exhibitions. More than 160 booths will display a wide range of products and technologies.
At the Food & Agro Expo, companies such as Akij Agro & Livestock Limited, Nabil Group, MH Dhanmondi Limited, and Agro Machinery Industry Limited are participating. Meanwhile, the Food Expo will feature notable exhibitors including PRAN-RFL Group, Kishwan, Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, and Hamdard Laboratories. As part of the exhibition, the “Coffee Fest” will be held for the third time, featuring coffee beans, machinery displays, and barista competitions.
On the other hand, the Meditex & Health Tourism Expo includes around 90 companies from more than 15 countries, including India, China, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. Over 150 booths will highlight modern medical technologies, healthcare services, and various aspects of international medical collaboration. Participating organizations in this sector include CFC-SIBL Reproductive Health Initiative, Healthcare Diagnostic Solution, and BTL Medical Device Bangladesh.
According to the organizers, these exhibitions will play a vital role in boosting business networking, creating investment opportunities, and facilitating technology transfer, thereby contributing to the development of the country’s food, agriculture, and healthcare sectors. At the same time, they will serve as an effective platform to showcase Bangladesh’s capabilities in the international market.
