SOF Session & Science Sync: Minister Leads Key ICT and Tech Governance Meetings
On Wednesday (May 6), the 30th meeting of the Social Obligation Fund (SOF) was held at the BTRC building in Agargaon. The meeting, which lasted for three hours, was chaired by Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Faqir Mahbub Anam. Adviser to the Prime Minister, Rehan Asif Asad, was present at the session.
Also in attendance were Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Bilkis Jahan Rimi; BTRC Chairman Md. Emdad Ul Bari; Vice Chairman Md. Abu Bakar Siddique; Managing Director of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited, Dr. Imadur Rahman; and others.
On the same day, at the National Science and Technology Complex building in Agargaon, Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, presided over the 22nd Board Meeting of the Science and Technology Fellowship Trust. Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Md. Anowar Hossain, was present at the meeting.
Earlier in the morning, a delegation from JICA met with Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam at the mini conference room of the ICT Division. ICT Division Secretary Kazi Anowar Hossain was also present during the meeting.
