Tangail Students’ Association Hosts Freshers’ Reception and Farewell at PUST
The Tangail District Students’ Welfare Association of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), formed by students from Tangail district, organized a freshers’ reception and farewell ceremony at Gallery-2 of the university.
The event, held on Monday (May 4), was presided over by the association’s President, Maruf Akand. The program was moderated by General Secretary Noor Mohammad.
Speakers at the event included Vice President Hasibur Rahman, Joint General Secretary Shahriar Hossain Sejan, as well as outgoing and newly admitted students.
During the reception, newly admitted students were welcomed with flowers, while outgoing members were presented with crests as tokens of farewell recognition.
Among those present were the association’s adviser and the university’s Proctor, Professor Dr. Kamruzzaman Khan. Deputy Manager of Nuclear Power Plant Company Limited, Meraj Al Mamun, attended as a special guest. Also present were Vice President Sakib Al Hasan, Joint General Secretary Sadman Hafiz Shawon, Organizing Secretary Simanto Reza, Office Secretary Nasimul Islam, Publicity Secretary Md. Rakib Al Hasan, Finance Secretary Ibrahim Alvi, along with both new and outgoing students.
In his remarks, President Maruf Akand extended his good wishes to the new students for their academic journey and to the outgoing seniors for their future endeavors. He expressed hope that through collective efforts, the Students’ Welfare Association would continue to grow and achieve greater success.
