After establishing a presence in the mobile and gadget markets, local technology company Salextra Limited has entered the smart security solutions segment in Bangladesh. The company has begun marketing cameras from the globally renowned smart home security brand Imilab in the local market.

Imilab is part of the AIoT ecosystem of global technology giant Xiaomi. Salextra has launched a total of eight Imilab IP camera models in Bangladesh, covering both indoor and outdoor use.

Imilab Overseas Sales Director Rajesh Sudhakaran said the company is pleased to introduce Imilab to Bangladeshi consumers through Salextra and expressed strong interest in long-term market expansion in the country.

Imilab General Manager Mr Felix said durability and advanced quality are crucial in smart home security devices. “We place the highest priority on product quality, and this commitment has helped us gain global recognition,” he said.

Salextra Limited’s Chief Business Officer Mohammad Asif said that alongside mobile phones and gadgets, security has become an equally important consideration for consumers. “With security in mind, we have added home security products to our portfolio. Given Imilab cameras’ advanced features, affordable pricing, and reliability, I am confident they will quickly gain popularity in the local market,” he said.

One of the key features of Imilab cameras is their compatibility with Xiaomi’s Mi Home app. In addition, all the cameras work seamlessly with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Xiaomi Home, and Xiaomi HyperOS Connect.

Currently operating in more than 150 countries worldwide, Imilab has sold over 85 million units globally, reflecting the brand’s wide acceptance. With the introduction of these cameras in Bangladesh, consumers will now have easier access to original smart security solutions.
