SUST Sets Semester Start: Admission Test Slated for January 13
The Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Sylhet has announced that its admission test for the first-year, first-semester of the 2025–26 academic session will be held on January 13, 2026.
The information was confirmed through an official press release signed by the university’s Registrar, Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Kadir, on Monday, November 3.
According to the announcement, the entrance examination will take place on January 13 and 14, 2026. The university administration has sought the cooperation of all concerned to ensure a smooth and orderly admission process.
When contacted, the Registrar stated, “The admission committee will be formed soon. After that, the committee will inform students about the entire process, from application to examination.”
In the previous academic session (2024–25), to ease the difficulties faced by applicants, the admission test was conducted across five centers nationwide. In addition to the main campus at SUST, the examination was held at the University of Dhaka, Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), and Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).
