Grameenphone’s EPS Drops 23% in First Nine Months of 2025
Grameenphone Limited, the country’s largest telecom operator, reported a 23.35% year-on-year decline in earnings per share (EPS) during the first nine months (January–September) of 2025, according to the company’s third-quarter financial statement approved by its board.
In the third quarter alone, Grameenphone’s EPS stood at Tk 5.56, down from Tk 5.59 in the same period of the previous year — a marginal decrease of Tk 0.03 or 0.54%.
For the nine-month period under review, the company’s cumulative EPS dropped to Tk 16.77, compared to Tk 21.88 in the corresponding period last year — a fall of Tk 5.11 or 23.35%.
As of 30 September 2025, Grameenphone’s Net Asset Value Per Share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 36.72.
The figures were disclosed in the company’s third-quarter financial statement, which was reviewed and approved at a board meeting held on Sunday, 26 October 2025, and later published through both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on Monday, 27 October 2025.
According to the report, Grameenphone’s net profit in the third quarter of 2024 was Tk 2,955 crore, while total revenue for January–September 2025 amounted to Tk 11,948 crore, down from Tk 12,109.8 crore during the same period last year.
