Global apparel giant Hop Lun has officially launched a new initiative titled ‘#SheCan’ across its multiple factories in Bangladesh. The program consolidates the company’s health, development, and family support efforts under a structured and inclusive framework, aiming to benefit nearly 30,000 Hop Lun employees across the country.

Currently, about 80 percent of Hop Lun’s workforce in Bangladesh consists of women. However, ‘#SheCan’ is designed not only for female employees but also for their male counterparts, focusing on ensuring the universal well-being, safety, and development of all workers.

At the core of the initiative are various support programs such as free medical camps and factory-based training. Under ‘#SheCan’, the company has already introduced upgraded daycare centers equipped with learning corners and caregiver facilities for children, improved factory clinics and healthcare services, distributed essential health supplies for women, and launched broader health awareness campaigns.

As part of the ‘#SheCan’ initiative, Hop Lun has also introduced a ‘Worker Scholarship Pathway’, providing employees with opportunities for higher education and skill development. In addition, the company, in collaboration with its partners, is set to launch comprehensive life skills training for all employees.

Speaking about the initiative, Hop Lun Bangladesh Country Head Nishantha Mohottige said, “Through this initiative, we aim to create a working environment where our employees feel safe and can work with dignity. We are committed to building a workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, can work with confidence while maintaining their health and prosperity.”
