July Jubilee: JUST Rewards Rising Researchers

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) concluded its month-long competitions marking the “July Revolution 2024” with a ceremony featuring symbolic graffiti, still-life exhibitions, essay contests, and art competitions for children and adolescents.
The awards ceremony took place on Monday, 22 September, in the conference hall of the university’s administrative building. The chief guest was Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, Vice-Chancellor of JUST and Chief Advisor of the July Revolution Celebration Committee. The events were organized by the Student Advisory and Guidance Department of the university.
In his speech, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid said, “We must preserve the achievements we have gained through great sacrifices. All of us must strive to become good human beings. From the Language Movement of 1952 to the Liberation War of 1971 and the mass uprising of July 2024, these events are deeply interconnected. Only if we develop as morally upright and skilled individuals can we contribute to the development of our nation and truly achieve the success of these victories. Our ultimate goal is to establish JUST as a university of excellence both nationally and internationally. Through collective effort and participation, we can elevate this university to a world-class standard.” He extended heartfelt thanks to all participating students and organizers and warmly congratulated the winners.
The closing ceremony, presided over by Dr. Md. Rafiul Hasan, Member-Secretary of the July Revolution Celebration Committee and Director of the Student Advisory and Guidance Department, also featured remarks from Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun, Treasurer of JUST and Convener of the July Revolution Celebration Committee. Other distinguished attendees included Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Professor Dr. Md. Zafirul Islam, Proctor Dr. Md. Omar Faruk, Provost of Munshi Mohammad Meherullah Hall Dr. Md. Abdur Rauf Sarkar, assistant directors of the Student Advisory and Guidance Department, and faculty members of JUST School and College, along with the student winners of the “July Revolution 2024” competitions.
