Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has earned a position in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026. The university has been placed within the 1401–1500 bracket among Asia’s top universities and ranked 454th in South Asia.

Coinciding with this milestone, BUBT’s young innovators’ group, Team BUBT, achieved two notable honors on the same day, both globally and nationally. On Friday, 7 November, as the online results of the 7th International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) held in Bali, Indonesia, were announced, the team also received the DOB (Dreams of Bangladesh) Special Award in the Bangladesh Round of Innovation World Cup 2026. Due to visa limitations, the team participated in ISIF virtually. Representing Bangladesh, they showcased their mobile app–based solution titled “Agro Doctor,” earning international recognition under the event hosted by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA).

Additionally, AI researcher Md.Shakil Hossain, a BUBT graduate currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Canada, serves as the mentor of the team.

Meanwhile, the group also received recognition in the Dreams of Bangladesh innovation competition held on 13 October. On Friday evening, Team BUBT was awarded the DOB Special Award for their amphibious rescue robot “Robo Tori,” capable of conducting rescue operations both on land and in water.
