Student Solidarity Shines: Chhatra Dal Brings Eid Joy to Residential Students at MBSTU

In a gesture of empathy and unity during Eid-ul-ADha, the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Chhatra Dal, at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) undertook a compassionate initiative to distribute meals to residential students who remained on campus.
On Saturday, June 7, at around 8 PM, Chhatra Dal members visited dormitories and personally delivered Eid meals to students in their rooms. In a thoughtful gesture honoring religious sensitivities, beef was provided for Muslim students and mutton for Hindu students.
Commenting on the initiative, Sajid Islam Dipu, a Chhatra Dal leader at MBSTU, said, “We engage in student politics for the wellbeing of our university brothers and sisters. We vow to stand by them through happiness, hardship, and any crisis. Many of our fellow students could not return home to celebrate Eid with their families due to job preparations and other reasons.”
He further added, “To share Eid joy with them, we undertook this humble effort under the guidance of Sultan Salahuddin Tuku Bhai, Publicity Secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee. Regardless of political affiliation, we remain committed to the welfare of all university students.”
Another Chhatra Dal activist, Nasif Iqbal Pial, emphasized the inclusive spirit behind the initiative, stating, “We believe the nation will progress through unity beyond discrimination of religion and race. Our effort was aimed at sharing Eid happiness with those who were deprived of family togetherness during the festival.”
The humanitarian gesture has been well-received by students, many of whom praised the thoughtful and inclusive nature of the initiative.
