Amazon Allocates $10 Billion for AI and Cloud Expansion in North Carolina
Tech giant Amazon has announced plans to invest $10 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure in North Carolina, specifically in Richmond County. According to Reuters, the initiative is expected to generate at least 500 high-skilled jobs, including positions for data center engineers and network specialists.
Amazon stated that since 2010, it has invested $12 billion in North Carolina. The company currently employs around 24,000 full-time and part-time workers across the state.
As demand for AI technology continues to grow, major tech companies are increasingly competing to establish advanced data centers. Amazon’s latest investment is seen as part of that larger trend.
