Tamanna Sharmin, wife of Chattogram’s top-listed criminal Sajjad, has threatened to file cases under cyber laws against those posting about her on Facebook, sharing videos, or conducting "false live sessions" concerning her.

A video of Tamanna Sharmin making this statement has gone viral on social media.

Earlier, following Sajjad’s arrest, another video of Tamanna gained widespread attention, in which she was heard saying, "We will spend bundles and bundles of money to get my husband released. Those responsible for this incident will not be spared."

In the newly circulated video, Tamanna Sharmin asserts, "Those making videos insulting me, those posting about me on Facebook—I have done nothing to harm you. I won’t name you, but you know who you are. What do you gain by posting about me? I am not your enemy, and I don’t even know you. Who you are and whom you have disputes with is not my concern. If I had posted about you and you had posted about me, that would have been acceptable."

Expressing her unwavering support for her husband, she further stated, "I work abroad, but if needed, I will beg for him. You all have no right to speak."

Sajjad was arrested by Tejgaon police on Saturday at around 10:00 p.m. while shopping at a mall in Dhaka. His wife, Tamanna Sharmin, was with him at the time but managed to evade capture. A video of the arrest shows Sajjad repeatedly calling for her, shouting, "Tamanna, Tamanna!"—but receiving no response.

Sajjad is currently under police interrogation in Chattogram on a 14-day remand in connection with two murder cases filed in Bayezid Bostami and Chandgaon police stations.

Previously, on January 30, Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Hasib Aziz had announced a reward for Sajjad’s capture. The day before, Sajjad had gone live on Facebook, issuing threats to strip and publicly beat Bayezid Bostami Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arifur Rahman.
