Revised Dates for 47th BCS Online Applications Announced
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced new dates for the 47th BCS application process after its earlier postponement. According to the revised schedule, online applications will begin on December 29 and continue until January 31. The application fee has been set at BDT 200.
PSC spokesperson SM Matiur Rahman confirmed the updated timeline on Thursday evening. Previously, the 47th BCS circular was published on November 28, with the application window initially scheduled to open on December 10 and close on December 31. However, the process was temporarily suspended due to unforeseen circumstances.
Under the revised schedule, candidates now have 34 days to submit their applications, compared to the originally planned 22 days. The delay in application processing was due to the absence of a formal government notification on the application fee, which has since been resolved. The Ministry of Public Administration issued the fee notification on December 11, enabling the PSC to resume the process.
As per the original circular, the 47th BCS aims to recruit 3,487 candidates for cadre positions and an additional 201 for non-cadre posts. The health cadre has the highest number of vacancies, with 1,331 positions for assistant surgeons and 30 for assistant dental surgeons.
